KITS is their greatest release by a wide margin (and a lot of people agree) and this EP seems to be pushing them in even an even more interesting direction, so... Anyways, on my plate today is: Haim (growing on me) Modern Chemistry (haven't listened yet) The All-American Rejects (really good) Broken Social Scene (haven't listened yet) Great Grandpa (really freaking good) Everyone seriously check out Great Grandpa, each song is very different but they meet somewhere between Weezer, emo revival stuff, and grunge.
First album is a perfect summer record, but I will jam those songs any time of year. Very "feel good". Haven't listened to the new one yet.
I want to check out Broken Social Scene, but for the most part this is a nothing day for me. If you're into Christian music, though, I'd check out the new Kevin Max EP Serve Somebody and the re-release of The Rock Worship's album God Will Reign.
They sound really good! But I just trying searching for "great grandpa" on Amazon and only got pages of great gift ideas for grandpa
New HAIM is a bit of a disappointment so far, on first listen. Four or five great songs, but the rest didn't even register with me. Will definitely spin it more though. Need to check out Broken Social Scene and Toro y Moi as well.
Haim and 21 Savage are the main ones for me today. Never heard of Broken Social Scene or Modern Chemistry but I guess I'll check those out
I dunno. A bit too noticeably repetitive and folky for my liking. Their first one was way more catchy. At least for me.
