If any of you want to sit by the pool and listen to some sweet reggae vibes, The Movement has a new album out today.
I will always check out new ‘of Montreal’ but their music is harder to listen to compared to the more straightforward(ish) pop sound they had 15 years ago. It’s like, when do I listen to this? Working out? Driving? Background music? Or only when on drugs? Lol
The new Florist album is a perfect, soothing soundtrack for Friday morning after a hard week. Its a mix of field recordings, ambient music, and sparse folk that I don't think I've ever heard anything like before.
Excited for Unwritten Law. I remember seeing them 5 or 6 years ago where they were talking about having music to release that was stuck in record label purgatory. Happy to finally check out something new by them.
It’s definitely a lyrics-first record, so I’ll be interested to see what you think. But the melodies are strong and Matt/Butch find some cool ways to present the songs.
For anyone that was in to Pool Kids album last week, definitely check out Knavery. I think I found them on Twitter and followed on Spotify because I liked what I heard, and this debut hasn’t disappointed. There’s some bands you just wanna show everyone, and that’s Knavery for me today.
Thoroughly enjoyed my first spin of Maggie Rogers. I’m pretty sure I’ll write up a review for that one sometime this week!
I’m here for the second time today just to say tht new Unwritten Law album slaps and fucks. Some great pop punk & rock and more styles happening on this gem.Probably going to end up being my favorite from them.instant classic.
