A lesser known emo band from the 00's called Long Since Forgotten dropped a little cover of the Gin Blossoms "Hey Jealousy". From the cover art, it may be from the Standing Room only era.

Anything from these guys is a treat. I'd highly recommend the albums Standing Room Only, and All the Things You Said. If you're into Jimmy Eat World, The Get Up Kids, and Acceptance (the good stuff!)

 

MUTOID MAN (with a sprinkling of Jeppo to balance it all out).

For anyone unfamiliar with Mutoid Man, it is a heavy metal group formed from Cave In frontman Stephen Brodsky, Converge drummer Ben Koller and High On Fire's bassist Jeff Matz. If that lineup tells you one thing, it's that Mutoid Man absolutely rip. Very excited to listen to this.

New Aphex Twin EP is good! Also excited to check out the new Beverly Glenn-Copeland album, supposed to be phenomenal.

 

I got the scoop from the band about it. Drums and bass were recorded during the Standing Room Only sessions in 2004. Guitars and vocals were finished last year.
