One of my really good friends put this out today. I'd appreciate if anyone wanted to give a spin. FFO: Dijon, Frank Ocean, vibey r b type shit.
Too much to check out today GHOST (live album) Modern Color Kaonashi Porter Robinson Respire Void Witch State Faults Wormwitch Death Racer A Wake In Providence Mayhemic
I totally missed the new Kississippi album. I def gotta check that out. Their last one was a sleeper hit for me.
Modern Color record is messed up on Spotify. Tracks 3 and 4 are the same exact song with different names. I wonder if they know.
I live in Los Angeles and am an avid listener of the Heidi & Frank show and they played one of the songs on their new album during their new music friday segment - "Crier" & i REALLY liked it. I don't know why it made me think of The Riot Before but I don't know if the rest of their stuff sounds like that.. all I know is I liked what I heard based off that one song haha.. but anyway I will definitely check out their discography later today. I've never heard of them before today and it's cool to see someone mention them on here!
you're a real one for always adding in the genres lol cuz i know i do not have the patience to do that but i find it helpful!
thought I was losing my mind when I spun the Modern Color record this morning lol weird since I switched to apple music and it was perfectly fine there
Discovered her a few weeks back. Lots of great stuff both on this and on her earlier work. Immortal is beautiful
I relate so hard to the sentiment about Phoebe's songwriting. So much more miss than hit post-Punisher for me. It's hard to say who wrote what on The Record, but the songs she led are just... not comparable to everything that came before.
Fuck. It’s been a day, but the following releases made it better •State Faults — Cream of the crop screamo. Go out of your way to listen to this. •Mountaineer— shoegaze-ish post-metal with some doom. Pretty, space-y soundscapes that can morph and evolve and crush you. •Respire — more screameo. But weird. All the standard instruments plus synthesizers, trumpets, violins, pianos, vibraphones, glockenspiels, saxophones, and more. •Powerwolf — Gothic werewolf-themed power metal. •Incessant — Old-school Darkthrone sound with some prog. •Stratovarius — Power metal •A Wake in Providence — Symphonic blackened deathcore
lol thanks! i don’t think i’m particularly good at it, but i know it’s helpful in some capacity regardless!
That Porter Robinson record is really good. Didn’t expect myself enjoying electronic music this much or whatever it is he’s considered
That’s awesome/funny; I look at your’s because I’ll almost always forget something. This week I forgot wormwitch. Haha
Your little blurbs always help me find stuff that I otherwise would overlook just based on not knowing about the band. Like this week I'll 100% be checking out Incessant thanks to you.
