"The band have acquired quite some attention for their 51-letter long name. The meaning of the name was explained by one of the members as being "An author's individual agglutinative neologism. In its creation there were used some Latin, Ancient Egyptian, Akkadian and Sumerian terms of the Chaosatanic tradition. It entirely reveals the unutterable name of the antiuniverse. When divided into fragments, it creates the magic spell of the formless Lords of the prior Darkness". Tunes are good though so I ain't gonna complain.
After 2020, I'm pretty sure we're all living in the Chaosatanic antiuniverse. Agreed on the music though. And thankfully they're fine just going by Eximperitus.
We've waited (literally) a year for this! Immediately a favourite behind HCE and Insurgentes. Love this direction.
The Sonder Bombs Joe Vann Weezer Arlo Parks (checked this one out because of this thread, really enjoying it so far.) Also been listening to Glaswing a lot from last week.
So glad the Joey Vann album was called out! Had no idea and recently obsessed with From Indian Lakes.
Oh thanks for that Arlo Parks hype! I would've missed that & it's awesome! Just got it that she was the one who played that amazing Radiohead cover with Phoebe Bridgers ;u
Hi chorus friends! I'm late on posting this but I'll be sponsoring the website next week because my band, Teo & the Cosmic Neighborhood, is putting out our debut record next Friday (Feb 5th). It's called Fora Do Azul (which means "out of the blue") and it takes inspiration from indie rock like Death Cab but puts a bossa nova-twist on the genre. Our singer has Afro-Brazilian ancestry and that shines through on the tracks, and I really think this is something a lot of y'all would love. I've linked one of my favorite tracks we've released so far, and if you head over to the youtube channel you'll see that every track is getting it's own custom animation loop! We're going to be releasing those monthly over 2021 because, you know, we can't play shows or tour.
Arlo Parks isn't hitting for me....at least not yet. Which is weird, because on the surface, it should be primed to fill the Lily Allen-shaped hole in my heart. So, we'll see? So far, loving the new Weezer and Remedy Drive albums.
If you haven’t checked out the Celeste record yet, that came out today and might fill that Lily Allen void reeeeal nicely Celeste - Not Your Muse (January 29, 2021) • forum.chorus.fm
