Relatively light in terms of volume of releases, but some high quality stuff out today! Anna B Savage (stark eccentric singer-songwriter) Ditz (noisy post-punk/post-hardcore) High. (shoegaze) horsegiirL (EP) (happy hardcore and not to be confused with Horsegirl) Kathryn Mohr (dark, ethereal singer-songwriter) Lucero (Unplugged) (alt-country punk) Mogwai (post-rock) Nicole Hale (eccentric singer-songwriter) Pants Exploder (sludge) Rose City Band (choogly American indie jam) Slowly Slowly (pop-rock, think The Maine meets The 1975)
And this huge LA benefit comp, with proceeds going to Mutual Aid LA Network and featuring contributions from The Album Leaf, Ducks Ltd, Cold Gawd, J. Robbins, Matt Pond PA, Kevin Devine, Nisa, Kestrels, Buke & Gase, and about 80 others:
DITZ - Never Exhale (post punk) FKA twigs - EUSEXUA (art pop) Kathryn Mohr - Waiting Room (ambient pop) Rose City Band - Sol Y Sombra (americana) Slowly Slowly - Forgiving Spree (indie pop) Anna B Savage - You & i are Earth (singer-songwriter) Motherhood - Thunder Perfect Mind (idk it’s a mix of garage/punk/surf rock)
