I was super excited for Alice Merton but it didn't live up to the hype for me. All of the already-released tracks are the best songs on the album by far. I'll check out James Blake in the morning too. Not too much else for me this week. The new Maren Morris song is a jam though.
Aw yeah, first big release day of '19. Will be listening to Maggie Rogers, The Twilight Sad, Pedro the Lion and Sharon Van Etten all weekend. Wristmeetrazor also put out their debut full length today if you're feeling like some throwback screamo. FFO: Vein, Saetia, Converge...
The Twilight sad is so good. It's a really lazy comparison but it sounds like if the smiths were Scottish. Amazing stuff. Also mid week Monplairsir released the agreement which is really nice too
Cub Sport – Cub Sport The Day – Midnight Parade Dodie – Human Maggie Rogers – Heard It In A Past Life Sharon Van Etten – Remind Me Tomorrow The new Cub Sport album is excellent pop music & the Mallrat feature was a pleasant surprise (“Better” & “Groceries” were huge on my playlists last year—I recommend everyone here check out her stuff)
