Great day with Brent Cobb, John Moreland, Spanish Love Songs & The Cadillac Three putting out full lengths. But it's all Nada Surf today, loved what they released so far, really excited for this one!

Got Green Day and Spanish Love Songs. I’d never heard of SLS until a couple days ago, listened to one preview because of the buzz on here and it sounded like something I would really like.
Second Lone Bellow album in a row I haven’t been into. They lost that spark that they had on the first two albums, imo
Insanely stacked release day. Here's what I'm checking out: John Moreland Green Day Aubrie Sellers Tenille Townes (EP) Nada Surf The Lone Bellow Brent Cobb The Cadillac Three
A few spins into "Father of All..." and I am actually way more onboard than I thought I would be. It's fun, it's kooky, and it's got hooks. It's maybe not the version of Green Day I'd prefer, but it rocks pretty hard. Listened to Spanish Love Songs once and it didn't do much for me. It seems a little mid-tempo and samey all over with none of the songs sticking out on first listen. I kinda wish his voice had improved a bit since the last record too.
Green Day is ok. I think I’m just hoping for a political album on par with American Idiot with everything that’s going on in Washington. I’ll be checking out La Roux and SLS later. Edit: Already ordered the vinyl for SLS. First time listening to them and this is very much my kind of album! Wow! Need to listen to their other albums ASAP!
