The Midnight is my favorite band as of late (and the best concert I went to last year) and their new single does not disappoint!
I'm Not Ready is one of the best pop punk songs I've heard in the last few months, on my 10th or so listen this morning. Such a good blend of the classic RF style with Cody's pizzazz for a new era of the band.
Miss Grit (she/they) for fans of earlier St. Vincent and Puberty 2-era Mitski: Big | Brave for sludgy, doomy, ambient-at-times post-metal: mui zyu for dreamy indie pop:
Charlie Simpson - Kifaru (EP) (a small selection of the songs that he sung on The Masked Singer UK). The Midnight's new single. Chvrches' new single. That's really it for me this week.
The Struts released an acoustic EP today called Unplugged at EastWest. Enjoyed Gorillaz Cracker Island and Adam Lambert's covers LP called High Drama. Hope everyone has a great weekend filled with music!
I had never listened to an entire Real Friends record until today. Really loving how catchy it is. Couldn’t care less for most of the lyrics but overall a solid sounding record. Can tell they would be fun songs to hear live.
While I don’t mind the new Real Friends album I still miss hearing Dan. Probably something I’ll always want from them. Plus, just about every song on that ep has the same electric to acoustic back to electric structure.
Thanks for the heads up! I knew they just released a new song, but didn't realize the full length was so close behind!
