Wow these boys can really jam out the end of a song. “Forevermore” and “we’re all going to die” really bring it

 

Is selling out still a thing?

 

I don't see how going from pop rock to country pop could be considered "selling out" anyway

Our Last Night released a screamo version of High Hopes, in case that's your thing

 

Astronoid's S/T is absolutely stellar. Reminds me a lot of Mew with a metal edge.

 

Should probably give Beirut some listens because for Christmas I'd got my wife tickets for us to see them in a few weeks. Have always respected their music, but never listened too much, so I'm curious where their current direction is.

edit: checked out Astris S and she literally sounds like Alessia Cara so I dug it. Also, that Reconciler album is good, reminds me of old The Riot Before!

 

Good rec, this is good stuff.

 

Small Talks! Kind of a mashup of pop punk and the 80s pop rock thing that was big for a while. It's a nice listen with some good hooks. Nicotine and Tangerines is my current favourite track.
