Beach House and Hurray for the Riff Raff are main ones but excited on BROODS, Tame Impala and still have Alt-J to check out
On my radar this week: A Rising Force: Undertow A Will Away: Stew The Birthday Massacre: Fascination Black Map: Melodoria Bloodywood: Rakshak Broods: Space Island Dagoba: By Night Foxy Shazam: The Heart Behead You Goodbye June: See Where The Night Goes Gregor Barnett: Don't Go Throwing Roses In My Grave Midnight Oil: Resist Oliver Tree: Cowboy Tears Sea Power: Everything Was Forever White Lies: As I Try Not To Fall Apart
Goodbye June released a new album today. I've enjoyed some of their work, and their new album has a great classic/blues rock feel to it from beginning to end. Check them out if you enjoy bands like Wolfmother, The Glorious Sons, Greta Van Fleet, etc. Standout track for me: 'What I Need' - catchy little rock ballad.
I've never heard of these guys, and can't find much information online about them. But they showed up in my Release Radar and I absolutely love the release. Unfortunately it's just 3 songs long, and I think it actually came out last week. But again, loving it. Not sure how to describe it so I'll use Spotify's description of "Double Gainer is a new project that came together during the pandemic with current members of Posture & the Grizzly and The Most, and former members of Milkshakes and Tri-State Era" and "scrappy yet anthemic song that kinda sounds like a cross between Latterman-style pop punk and early 2010s emo revival".
Foreign Hands Big Nothing Matt Pike Immolation Prayer Group Hiv Pure Wrath Buneul (needs to be a tilde over the n)
New album from Lifted. Always difficult to pin down what their sound is but if you like instrumental music with a mixture of sounds and genres, this is so worth a listen.
I'll have to go back and check those out. I was thinking it was more of a generic modern "indie rock" sound. The kind of stuff played all over SiriusXM's AltNation where you can hardly tell one band from another.
