i know i’m 25 years late but i just really got into the get up kids and i don’t know how i overlooked them throughout all my music loving years but i have been listening to them non stop for the last month and something to write home about is truly special. i’ll catch you turned into one of my all time favorite songs.

Exciting week with Kishi Bashi, Illuminati Hotties, Zeal & Ardor, Fontaines DC, I Hear Sirens, Sabrina...and I guess I'll give Stand Atlantic a chance though I'm not very optimistic.

I love this so much, music truly is timeless. I'll Catch You was the first TGUK song I fell in love as well!

Away with Words has like only 52 Spotify listeners, I don't usually judge solely off those metrics but damn...

Their album is hands down so great and so out of nowhere to be this unheard of; although I also still say this about the group Fire In The Hole(10 years ago and still amazing from high schoolers)

Illuminati Hotties, Melt-Banana, Zeal and Ardor, and Spirit of the Beehive are my big ones today. Also will be checking out Fontaines DC and Magdalena Bay, unfamiliar with either but they’re getting a decent enough amount of hype. Not particularly enthused with what I’ve heard from Stand Atlantic but I’ll give that a go. On the heavier side of things, looking forward to giving Nile and Within the Ruins a spin.

Why did Stand Atlantic release the singles they did? Easily the worst songs on the album. Glad everything else is much better than the singles.

 

Jack Kays first full length album is out today, previously did an EP with Travis Barker. I think a lot of members of this community would like his music, check it out.

My 2nd single ‘America Offline’ and music video from 120 Moons is out now! This is a campfire song telling the tale of life before the internet, before social media...that magical time of getting lost in the present moment and not focusing on the preservation and presentation of that moment.

I wrote, directed, and edited the video as well. Thank you in advance to whomever checks this out!

 

• Kingcrow -- off-kilter prog. FFO old school Leprous.
• Fleshgod Apocalypse -- I love these symphonic death metal peps. new female clean vocalist adds a cool dimension.
• Spectral Wound -- headbanging black metal. has a little hardcore influence this time. nifty.
• Nile -- Egyptian themed death metal.
• Generation of Vipers - prog-y sludge.
  
• Alleviate -- corny metalcore that i enjoy. makes my head bob. clean vocalist reminds me of Hands Like Houses dude.
  
• Invasion -- hair metal revival. fun.
• Simone Simons -- Epica vocalist teams up with Ayreon & creates some good symphonic metal.
• Within Ruins -- groovy deathcore
  
• Miss May I -- they re-recorded their debut full length with a ton of guest features.
• Zeal & Ardor -- dark, blues & gospel influenced metal. this one hasn't grabbed me.
• Stand Atlantic -- I have decided that i no longer like this band.

Enjoyed the Sabrina Carpenter album. It lives up to the singles released and there is a humor throughout her songs I like a lot too. Tbh I forgot how much I like Gillian Welch so I am listening to that now. The o'brother where art thou is on heavy rotation for me all the time and I just love her voice.
