Kacey Anderson - Stray Dogs Dame D.O.L.L.A - Almighty Dolla Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes - 23 LIve at Brixton Academy The Wonder Years - Sister Cities Underoath - Erase Me
I like both, neither AOTY contenders, but I could see myself coming back to either one later on. TWY has some incredible moments, but others that made me cringe a little...feels like the vocals are being pushed to hard in areas it's not necessary, but during the chorus' it works. Chorus has always made up for the versus in Wonder Years songs for me...
Will be interested to see where TWY land on the billboard 200. NCTH hit 12 when it debuted, but I struggle to think this album will do that. There seems to be less hype around this release than there was NCTH (probably because TGG was so good), which is a bummer because I think it’s a significantly better record than NCTH. We’ll find out soon!
A really good release day today The Wonder Years Crashcarburn Thirty Seconds to Mars Underoath Gin Wigmore Bumpin Uglies Knuckle Puck Bombpops The next two months are loaded with great releases
I love Dermot Kennedy. I was really hoping for a full length so kinda disappointed by another short ep with a couple songs I've already heard, but still great.
Underoath Wye Oak Bombpops Heard that Hop Along is stellar. Heard Kylie Minogue is a terrible version of country. Maybe check a few others people are raving about!
The Wonder Years - Sister Cities Kississippi - Sunset Blush Cardi B - Invasion of Privacy Hop Along - Bark Your Head Off, Dog Lil Xan - Total Xanarchy Saba - Care for Me Hinds - I Don't Run Todrick Hall - Forbidden Kylie Minogue - Golden no thank you - All It Takes to Ruin It All Good Looking Friends - Settle In, Decay Underoath - Erase Me
Underoath was doo doo. Disappointment of the year. Not saying it's awful but by Underoaths standards it is. Kali ulches and the wonder years albums are both amazing! Hop Along sounds good so far too. Lotta music this week
Saw Dermot Kennedy at Bonnaroo in a crowd of about 20 people. Dude is going to be absolutely huge. His voice is incredible live.
No real need to heap more praise on the Wonder Years album at this point I suppose. It's wonderful, it's incredible, it's everything. Everyone check out that Bombpops EP, that thing really rocks.
The Wonder Years wasn't as good as I expected it to be, but their albums usually grow on me over time, & in like 2 years I'll love it Underoath was a lot better than I thought, & I'll listen to it again a few more times this weekend probably Cardi B was exactly what I thought it would be Flatbush Zombies RULES... I'm surprised I haven't seen more people talking about them today on here Still have a lot more to listen to.... Kississippi Thirty Seconds to Mars Knuckle Puck Hop Along Honey & Salt Also, thanks to people who recommended Kacey Musgraves last week, that one really blew me away. The Republic of Wolves, Punchline, & Spanish Love Songs had great releases last week too.
Sister Cities took a few listens to grow on me. Sonically I think it's only slightly better than their last album, but the lyrics are something else. Excited to give Kississippi, Hop Along, Cardi B, and Wye Oak a listen later!
I just saw them on Wednesday without knowing much about them. They mentioned they were playing a bunch of new songs, and they put on a great live show! I'll definitely be checking out this new one.
What’s everyone’s thoughts on the new Hop Along? I personally like it but I don’t like it as much as I liked the last one. Basically I like it but I don’t love it. Need to spend more time with the b-side of the album because I only ever have time for the a-side
The Wonder Years is biggest standout. Huge album, could be their White Pony or Deja Entendu years from now. Underoath was disappointing on first few listens for me. Had some standout tracks but as a whole underwhelmed. Also Palm Reader “Braille” is a solid metal option.
