Woke up to see Warpaint released a new song. It’s been years since I’ve heard anything from them so it’s a nice surprise!
Gojira Pillars of Ivory Manchester Orchestra Origami Angel Demons Evile Nekromantheon Pig Destroyer (live release) Oryx Stone Healer Insane Domkraft Ungfell
Gonna give The Undertaking! a listen. Even though I can’t stand their name or the exclamation point (I’m sorry it’s lame I know!) I tend to like what Solid State puts out. Hoping the album has more variation in the vocals than the singles because the music sounds great!
dim (new project from Ben Cato, former drummer of The Dangerous Summer) released their second new song with a music video. This is one of my favorites from their upcoming album, and I think people round here will really dig it. Otherwise really dang excited to get my Manchester pre-order so I can give the new album a proper listen. Until then, listening to Origami Angel, Glaswing, Fences, and FlyLo
Royal Blood Will check out Ashley Monroe due to the Musgraves comparison alone. NOVACUB is also half of the current Bloc Party lineup for those unaware. I'll check that out too
Manchester Orchestra Leon Vynhall (no ones mentioned this - Nothing is Still is incredible) Julia Michael Dawn Richard Origami Angel Action/Adventure
there's a new Authority Zero EP and despite not really thinking I'd care much about it, it's pretty great. Very lively.
This band name was a total turnoff to me until I read your comment; I'm surprised that a Solid State band managed to stay of my radar! I'm enjoying this a whole lot
Been excited about this release date for awhile. Was looking forward to the Manchester, Royal Blood, and Tetrarch releases. Then I find out Coin, Girl in Red, and Action/Adventure's new stuff is out today too. It's a good day!
These were the ones on my radar today: Amy Shark (Australian indie pop singer-songwriter) Machester Orchestra Origami Angel Royal Blood (British modern hard rock/riff rock) Teenage Fanclub (Scottish '90s alternative band still putting out tunes) Adding these after seeing them rec'd a handful of times here/elsewhere (doubt i'll get to all of these): Action/Adventure The Alchemist Ashley Monroe (because our Country Uncle, @Craig Manning, said so ) COIN Crumb Dawn Richard Eternal Boy Flying Lotus girl in red The Undertaking! Also, who had Kellin Quinn being featured on a Machine Gun Kelly song on their 2021 bingo card?
Okay this one convinced me. Quick preview and it’s got that southern rock, melodic hardcore style reminiscent of Every Time I Die. I’m not opposed to ETID clones, one of my favorite records last year was one (American Slang).
I didn’t have a chance to listen yet but everything I’ve seen sounds like it’s good. I like stuff that has a Chariot vibe but the first too singles the vocals were kinda one note. Hoping the full album has some variation!
Origami Angel double album is everything. It’s hard and fast, it’s slow and smooth, it’s groovy and catchy, it just might be perfect. The intro transition to track 2 is very delish.
