Def checking out Lume along with RFC, Equal Vision is one of the most consistent labels around imo so i trust them. I will also check out Kimbra, maybe Pennywise and the surprise release by Cancer Bats.
Sting and Shaggy album is fantastic. I find it hard not to laugh at a lot of Shaggys parts, as his voice is just goofy sounding to me, but the musicianship is fantastic and they work so well together as Sting's voice is so smooth compared to his gruffer voice. There are some real nice harmonies scattered throughout the album, and it's just a feel good, summer vibes album. What a weird pairing, but strangely it works and this will get a lot of play time from me.
Man, the Sleep album sounds great on first listen. Never listened to A Perfect Circle before. Is this a good place to start?
Pennywise and the new Useless ID/Terakany! split ep is really all for me. And the first new Slick Shoes song in 15 years!!!!!!
The Longshot Donovan Woods (really good) Pennywise New Ruston Kelly single called Asshole is great... A Perfect Circle for nostalgic reasons, although first listen didn't grab me. Cancer Bats definitely...
Was so pleasantly surprised when I opened up Spotify to download their discography to my phone in preparation for the HD 10 year show tonight to find the new album! Wondered how I could have been in the dark about it.
Well yeah haha. Usually I catch wind about it on Facebook or something first though. I liked it a lot after my first listen! Great record, I should revisit it since it's been a while.
On my list to listen to: Tess Roby "Beacon" (Italians Do It Better hasn't let me down yet!) Sleep "The Sciences" A Perfect Circle "Eat the Elephant" J. Cole "KOD" Listening to Stryper "God Damn Evil" right now, pretty damn solid. Then again they're a nostalgic band for me.
