Fuckin' shocked today because Islander put out a new album, It's Not Easy Being Human, out of nowhere.

Has a huge array of guest spots, including but not limited to Spencer from Underoath, Lacey formerly of Flyleaf, Sonny from P.O.D., HR from Bad Brains, and one song has Head from Korn, Dan from Zao, and Bruce from Living Sacrifice.

    I'm pretty stoked to listen.

Also on my radar this week:

    Becko: You Are (Not) Alone
    The Dead Rabbitts: Rumination
    Fatherson: Normal Fears
    The Hellacopters: Eyes Of Oblivion
    Meshuggah: Immutable
    Pup: The Unraveling Of Puptheband
Red Hot Chili Peppers: Unlimited Love
    Sundara Karma: Oblivion! EP
    Superlove: Colours

Glad you mentioned that here, it instantly reminded me that my friend showed my a great band from Singapore one time, and it's them - I'll check the album out for sure!

For me it's PUP and Christian Lee Hutson, which I already can recommend after two full listens both. Also, Tree River (got me excited with Kevin Dye and Max Bemis being featured), a live album by Desaparecidos (Conor Oberst's kind-of-punk band), and thanks for letting me know about new Color Fred!

Just discovered this band on TikTok recently (what a sentence that is) called Nightly. They just released a new single today and it's so catchy.

Not sure on the new Meshuggah yet but they're worth more than a first impression anyway. Going to keep coming back to it for a couple of weeks.

Digging this. Vocalist gives me Grayscale vibes (I think?) at times.

    The rivalry is back on

I haven’t seen Molly Tuttle listed here yet but her new one is a very good bluegrass album
