The story of Nike's beginning, starring Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Chris Tucker, Jason Bateman, Marlon Wayans and Viola Davis I'm so in
i really dug this the other day. only issues are that it’s quite needle drop-heavy, and a bunch allusions to the fact that, yes, it’s the 80s. still, it moves so breezily that it’s easy to look past all that. viola steals the movie late in the game
This was a blast. It does lean hard on "it's the '80s signifiers" but it fit the tone just fine I thought. This really felt like a movie from a different era in a great way.
Yeah, this was a lot of fun. It does lean pretty heavy on the propaganda and needle drop. But very entertaining nonetheless.
gonna catch this on sunday! wasn't hot on the trailer but everyone seems to be reacting positively to the movie
This was … ok? Some very awkward dialogue, cinematography, and editing. Also, based on the ending note, I get why they did it I guess, but the way they filmed the Marlon/Matt scene was awful.
I enjoyed it but all I could think of is how Ben Afleck making a movie about a compulsive gambler seemed irresponsible haha
