You know what, I just realized we will get more space mom and murder bot. My bad.

Chopper was sooo close to another war crime wanting to shoot down the other ship over a populated area. Some things never change…

Chopper is innocent of any wrong doing. I just refer to him as a murder bot as a joke. He is a good boy. He is a war hero! A veteran of two wars.

Chopper is a sociopath and second only to the empire in terms of threats to the entire galaxy.

Never. He would never murder anyone.

  10. First 2 eps were decent. Definitely interested to see where it goes, and I like the character dynamics that have been set up. Wish the action felt a little less stiff. Odd choice to have white light saber fights set against largely white backdrops. Feel like they could pop more in different settings.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

ok the first episode started a little slow even for me lmao, all the map solving scenes went on forever but it definitely picked up at the end there. the Sabine being Ahsoka's apprentice thing kinda came out nowhere though lmao

So am I crazy or did I see a like big Lego piece get thrown away by Chopper when he was searching through his stuff?

second episode was much better, just seeing Hera and Chop bickering again made me so happy

Did they? Feels like the coda of Rebels must have happened years ago. I’m assuming that Sabine and Ashoka went searching for Ezra shortly after the fall of the Empire, which is when Ashoka originally took Sabine as her Padawan. Obviously things went south there but seems like we are at least five years on from those events.

The couple articles I read referred to that scene being more how Luke described it to be, which is how I also took it. But I don’t know

Ahsoka holding a staff in Rebels vs not holding a staff here. Sabine puts on her helmet before walking over in Rebels, but doesn't here, leading to the "nice haircut" line.

Interesting. How would Luke be able to describe it, he wasn't there?

I think he meant the user on here he was quoting.

As far as the differences, Filoni has made alterations many many times to fit what works best for the current project. Assuming a scene that is shot the same way with a few differences is an entirely different scene is just silly.

    OH!!! :crylaugh:

That's the wrong name to be throwing around in a Star Wars thread.

Also, I haven’t gone back to check to verify, but I’m fairly certain Sabine’s starting position in her saber fight was first position. The first one that Ezra showed her when training for the dark saber.

Overall enjoyed these episodes and thought they were a good setup and introduction to the characters. Enjoyed the little bit of a slower build up rather than jumping right in.

Ahsoka seemed a little flat and weirdly felt like the least interesting character so far.

Sabine and Hera were great and felt like good continuations from Rebels.

Chopper was fun and I liked that his noises sounded even more like "English" than normal. Hopefully we get more of him. Also enjoyed the use of "evil" droids

I enjoyed that at the end of the 2nd episode that Baylan didn't feel like a run of the mill sith bad guy and seemed to respect Ahsoka, and the jedi in general, and regretted that they were enemies right now

Will be interesting to see how much night sister magic Morgan Elsbeth will use throughout the show

I haven’t watched rebels so alot of these characters are new to me, but I thought the first 2 episodes were great. It has a nice feel to it that the previous Disney+ shows have failed to capture.

The carvings Ahsoka finds in the map temple reminded me a lot of the force beings from the Yoda arc in S6 of Clone Wars. Also saw some speculation that they could be the Zeffo from Fallen Order which would be fun. Loved all the Purgill imagery too throughout both episodes.

If you follow MT from Heavy Spoilers he gets a lot into the Zeffo theories and the trinity stuff throughout Star Wars.

  25. Two good episodes but what is with the action scenes in star wars lately. Just seem really slow and stiff and fake in the few in these episodes and almost everything in the newest Mando season.

    Seeing chopper was the best.
