Yes. Two trilogies.

 

I think they all take place in what was previously the Outbound Flight era in EU. Pretty sure he has lots of interaction with Anakin. Haven’t read em tho.

 

I haven't read them, except half of the first book of the second series, but I believe the first trilogy is about his time in the Republic and rising to power and then his time in the Empire including time with Anakin and then Vader, and he figures out they're the same. The second trilogy is a prequel series and is about his early life

 

I read the first book and was bored out of my mind. My friend has read them all and insists they get way better though.

 

I don’t know about the prequel trilogy. But the one with Anakin in the other trilogy is after Attack Of the Clones. Outbound Flight starts 3 years after the Phantom Menace, so a tad earlier than book 2. I don’t recall the timeline between book 1 and 2 though.

 

I wonder if Zahn will write about the gap between Rebels and Ahsoka once Filoni is done telling his story

 

Cool to see C-3PO in this week's ep but his new voice threw me off a bit.

He sounded exactly the same to me

I know that. I meant that he doesn’t even sound slightly different at all to warrant any confusion

 

Wow, actually surprised by that. Something just seemed slightly off to me. I wonder if it was just my TV's sound as his voice was overall a lot deeper

 

Sounded normal to me. I dunno.

 

I honestly hate c3P0 like 90% of the time but I was cheesing pretty big at that cameo lol

 

I think his voice is very different from the original trilogy/prequel era. The sequel trilogy and everything since sound like his voice has aged. Which I mean obviously right? It still sounds like Anthony Daniels’ natural progression though. Which to keep it kayfabe you could just say hey he’s been around 30 years, his voice chip just isn’t what it was

 

His height threw me off more than anything. Hera had inches on him lol

 

That was one of the most Star Wars-y things I’ve seen

 

I’m just more sad about Ray now than I already was

 

Yup. I’m most intrigued by his plot and was fully expecting resolution.

 

That ending was so good. The setup moving forward with Ahsoka, Shin, and Baylan(RIP Ray) as the Daughter, Brother, and Father is inspired. Zombie Night Troopers were super cool. This show did a great job of moving the story forward in new, interesting ways while still having a lot of great storylines to tell.

 

Ray Stevenson was the best part of this show. The rest was mostly bad.

 

Front half of the season was just okay for me but thought the back half was excellent. They did my guy wes Chatham dirty because you never see his face.

 

Fuck.

why the hell didn't Hera hug her son?

 

Besides Finn, have we ever seen a storm trooper remove their helmet? I don’t count heroes in disguise. Finn counts since he was an actual storm trooper. But beyond him, is there anyone? I can’t think of one. Maybe in animation somewhere? But I can’t even think of one from there. All that to say, I don’t know why you would expect his helmet to come off.

 

Yea, I don’t think they are supposed to replace them or be stand ins for them.

Pretty bummed we have no idea when this story will continue.
