looks fun. i know nothing about these characters. whats the absolute must-watch stuff to get caught up on these folks and this story? i know the thrawn book series exists but unlikely that i get to read 3 books before this premiers.

 

Rebels

 

Rebels is must watch. Look up a video on youtube for Ahsoka and Anakin's history, not necessary to watch all of Clone Wars. I've only started reading the first book of the Thrawn Ascendancy trilogy but based on that they are not required as it's more of a prequel series of where Thrawn came from

 

I can’t decide if Sabine calling Ahsoka her master is a joke/insult or meant to say she is now force sensitive. It’s gotta be the former, right?

This is really presenting as a sequel to Rebels, which frankly has some of the absolute best of Star Wars within it so if you have the time i'd def say that

As many have said. Watch Rebels before this. It's one of the greatest stories told in Star Wars.
