I think it’s pretty clear that at least Ezra and Sabine get left behind. Ahsoka is on her way. I don’t think they’d have her go to find nobody left. I could see Baylan and/or Shin being left, too. We shall see, likely next week.
Agreed, it isn't prequel level (and don't think any of it has been bad), but it has been pretty bland. Dave is better than Lucas at writing dialogue for sure, but it does seem like he could use a writing partner.
Forgive my ignorance, but what in general would make a Jedi want to turn away from the Jedi Order, to go to the Dark side, or whatever "side" these mercenaries, as an example, are on? What about being a Jedi do these people not approve of, or think is inherently bad? What kind of life should one live, that isn't compatible with being a Jedi? I think I've had this question in my head ever since I heard of Star Wars, and the "Dark side", as a kid, without ever really seeing/hearing/finding an answer to this since.
I may be wrong, but I think it has usually has to do with how closed minded/strict the Jedi usually are. Some think that there should be a balance of light and dark in all force users. Or maybe that's just what I've made up in my head all these years.
The Jedi fighting the Clone Wars was a huge mistake. I don’t have time to go back and get his exact words, but when Shin asked Baylan if he missed the order, he explained their various flaws. The Clone Wars show I think really shows how far off the path the Jedi got by fighting a war. This also is tying in with Ahsoka’s arc in being conflicted about being trained as a soldier. The Jedi being blind to Palpatine until he revealed himself to Anakin really caused a lot of issues and doubt in the Jedi. Then there were those who knew the truth about Vader. He was one of their best and most known, and he fell due to his lust for control and wanting to fix things. This also ties into Luke’s arc in The Last Jedi. His passion for saving others almost drove him to do something terrible to his nephew. Even that brief moment had disastrous consequences. All that to say, I think there are a lot of reasons to turn your back on the order. But the light side of the force exists beyond a Jedi order. Some, like Kanan, stuck to that and trained Ezra up the best he could. Baylan, seeing the failures of the Jedi, desired to be more than the order. What that more is for him has not quite been revealed yet. But he has trained Shin in the same way. They aren’t Jedi and they aren’t Sith. But his turn from the order makes sense, even if he doesn’t make the best choice to go next with it.
There's nothing wrong with the dialogue. Genuinely mystified by this take. What 15 year olds do y'all know?
I'm just wondering about the inconsistency in bringing characters over from Rebels lol. still loving this show, maybe you shouldn't take every bit of criticism so personally
Yeah Ezra definitely always had black hair. Any blue tint it had was definitely just the animation style
Baylan is one of the most interesting characters in Star Wars in a long time. I’d never seen the actor before but damn he’s sooo good. Sucks that he passed.
I never saw the animation shows but I saw extensive recaps prior. This is easily in my fav shows already tho. This and Andor are top top tier stuff.
I think he’s right. The blue lights and his longer hair made it look that way. His short hair didn’t have the same effect. Wild!
