My buddy Jeff gets rides from intergalactic whales all the time.

Yea, this. As well, we were told that Ahsoka was involved with the fall of Mandalore and the death of Sabine’s family. Part of her legacy of destruction she is letting go of, but that’s all we know of that. I was kind of expecting to be filled in on that while in the WBW. Maybe it’ll get explained more later, but it seems critical to her relationship with Sabine and the legacy she is passing to her.

Ezra has a special connection with animals. We don’t really know what Ahsoka has been up to from the time she is on Malachor to the start of this show. Maybe she tried to find them? We don’t know.

I really did not have any idea what was going on in the WBW, did not hold my attention.

Some key pieces were kept ambiguous.

    But I was riveted.

I’m enjoying this show but probably won’t keep up with the thread, it just confuses me

  7. Agreed, but it's likely because I did not watch The Clone Wars or Rebels. I loved everything else about the episode though.

    Best episode so far

  9. Great episode. Hayden crushed it. Loved seeing young ahsoka. The Twitter thread @EntryLevelDave posted explains the WBW perfectly imo. They jammed a lot into this episode but it flew by. Sucks there are only three left.

I’m really so happy for Hayden. He seems to be enjoying these comebacks and he’s truly killing it.

Yeah holy shit, this just keeps getting better and better. I truly can't believe Filoni actually got away with making this show, it seems like the pinnacle of everything he's done for Star Wars so far with how they're bringing in so many loose threads from both Clone Wars and Rebels. Echoing the love for Hayden really killing it here, he did such a good job channeling the CW version of the character and then snapping right back to the prequel version when he had to. Also amazing to see essentially a CW snippet in live action, including Rex! I hope he gets brought back in present time at some point, he should still be alive as far as I know

I even loved small things like Kanan being namedropped and how much the whales looked like their animated counterpart. This is truly a show for the dedicated fans I think. Excited to hopefully finally see at least a glimpse of Ezra and/or Thrawn next week

kanan’s picture is on the dash of the ghost in the last episode! It’s hard to tell but it may even be Freddie Prinze Jr.

I felt like the Kanaan name drop seemed to be there more for everyone who didn’t watch rebels. They had to establish that this kid has a Jedi dad.

Just remembered from Tales of the Jedi Ahsoka has been able to communicate with animals from when she was a baby so not trying to communicate with them from the beginning seems odd.

The rumor is this is Rex in ROTJ. Don't think it's actually been confirmed though

Also I'm very confused on how the aging of the clones works because I thought they had expedited aging which would've made them very old during Rebels and especially during the battle of Endor

It was “confirmed” for like a second and then taken back, if I recall correctly. But I think later they did say he was there with Hera? It’s been a minute.

I don't remember about Rex being there, but Hera is definitely confirmed. So it seems plausible.

They def say Rex fought in the battle of Endor at the end of Rebels. I just went back and checked.

I think Filoni implied it and then walked it back because of the whole whitewashing of Rex if it was him. If I recall correctly that characters name is Nick Sant (because of Santa Claus).

I haven’t watched all of clone wars nor any of rebels:

I don’t understand why it wouldn’t be Anakin. As for the lesson, I just took it as reconciling her past.

so awesome seeing Hayden again… just heartwarming

I need more Hera. Something about her just lights up the screen. Hell, give me a spin-off of her

Space whales remind me of the Windfish from Link’s Awakening

If it’s Anakin, what time is this Anakin from? From his reference to Luke in ROTJ, one would say post ROTJ, but then why is he not fully redeemed?

Not knowing anything about world between worlds, I’m just assuming it’s her manifestation of Anakin? Again, I have no prior knowledge so coming from that lens is how I took it

If it’s her manifestation, it’s not really Anakin. WBW was only in one episode of Rebels. In it, the people we see there are literal physical people who arrived through a doorway/portal. Here… that’s way less clear on those specifics. Opening a doorway in Rebels was a deliberate choice that required action and unlocking it. Here, we don’t see how Ahsoka gets there. Or if it’s even anything more than in her head.

Which I’m fine with. I don’t think they’re going to explain it at this point. We shall see the next time we see someone return to the WBW. Hopefully it doesn’t take 5 more years.
