Regarding the hyping up stuff, I checked out the leaks for the episode as soon as it was over and saw so many people bitching that they weren’t true. The leaks said basically the whole episode took place in the WBW and that they basically hopped around to different past events. So people believed that and are now crying about it
I also thought whatever effects they used on Hayden to deage him looked waaaaay better than last week. He looked off last week.
This was structured very similar to the Rebels episode when we first saw WBW. While I would have liked an episode fully in it, this is basically what I expected.
I wish it had been real. I was hoping for more of a heart to heart type conversation. But when they jumped almost straight to fighting I managed expectations.
Very minor nitpick, and I get why they didn’t do it. But the Siege of Mandalore Ahsoka should have been a little older than padawan Ahsoka. Having a third actress as Ahsoka in one episode does feel like too much. The younger actress did a good job, so it’s nothing against her, just used to that being a slightly older Ahsoka. On another note… what was the point of Ahsoka’s time in the WBW? Choosing life didn’t really seem to be a thing she needed to do. I am sure a part of it will come back around when she reunited with Sabine as Sabine is now part of her legacy. She is questioning her place in all the death and destruction that she grew upon and around. So how will she change that with Sabine? How does she train Sabine to be more than a soldier/warrior? Things to ponder until next week.
The purrgils are the ones who took Ezra and Thrawn away in the first place. So, this seemed inevitable.
I was kind of hoping we'd see Malachor and the Vader fight in the WBW but what we got was still amazing. this is why I don't read leaks anymore lmao are people saying this wasn't really Anakin? he showed her exactly what she needed to recommit herself to life and turn into Gandalf Ahsoka, why wouldn't it be him? the whale thing was hella telegraphed lol, that was their whole purpose in this story. how else were they gonna get to Thrawnspace
In what way did we see Ahsoka not commit to being alive? I don’t see that as a follow up on anything. Why do you think the episode was named “shadow warrior?”
I’m still choosing to believe it was really Anakin until Filoni tells me otherwise. I totally get the other POV though
he got super pissed off when Ahsoka implied she might turn out like Vader and stopped fighting immediately when she chose to live, it seems pretty clear cut to me
It being Anakin doesn’t make sense though. If we say it is Anakin, then this is post ROTJ Anakin as he references those events. Then he would be the redeemed Anakin. And that’s definitely not who we saw. So, the question to those who think it’s him. From when did this Anakin come from? How did he get into the WBW? How did he leave? If you think he is a spirit or force ghost, why is he not redeemed Anakin?
Hmmmm… Anakin either not knowing or pretending to not know about the Siege of Mandalore makes things cloudier. I don’t think what we saw fits Anakin in any time we have seen him. But a force manifestation would know of the Siege. Unless he was playing the part. Damn it, we need Rebels Recon.
What else would it be? The only other option I can think of would be that Ahsoka just imagined it all as she floated in the water. That would be pretty underwhelming. What do you think it was?
I mean I thought it was the WBW. But I’m an idiot and read some more leaks for the episode that seemed more accurate and they said it wasn’t really the WBW or really Anakin, so now I’m just questioning everything lol
You can't apply rules to the WBW. Also, Anakin said he didn't recognize it which makes sense because he was never there.
