Technically, Ezra manipulated a painting of the mortis gods to open the portal. I don’t believe we are meant to believe the gods do it, as two of them died. I believe the Son is unaccounted for.

  2. The daughter didn’t die. She literally lives on through Ahsoka and Morai.

Hence her foil, the Son, having a bone to pick with her.

I don’t think being a bird is the same thing as living as she did in the Mortis arc. Like, yes, it is her. But it’s not the same. And unlike the daughter, we haven’t seen the Son since the mortis arc.

And besides that, Anakin/Vader is far more compelling than the Son since this is Ahsoka. There is far more depth to their dynamic and relationship. Vader somehow finding WBW after he saw Ahsoka get yanked into it would also make sense.

It could be the Son. I just don’t think there has been any indication in the show to think so. The focus on master and apprentice dynamics has been in play all season. It would be weird for the show to not play into that when this is the only place it could happen with Anakin/Vader and Ahsoka.

We will hopefully find out next week.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I think it just really is Anakin post death. Filoni loves closure and Anakin and Ahsoka never got any of that, their last interaction was pretty messed up. I think Ahsoka is gonna forgive him and move past Vader

Can anyone tell what lightsaber Anakin had on him? I couldn't quite see when I watched and someone online said it looked like Vader's and not the Clone Wars/ROTS Anakin one

If you up the brightness you can see that it's Anakin's. It's the lighting that makes the chrome look black.

Wouldn’t be the first time somebody used that lightsaber as part of a ruse.

  8. Okay, fine. I give. It’s probably not The Son. It’s probably her memory of Anakin, mirroring a similar scene in Rebels season 2. Whatever. Fine. But I demand more Mortis Gods damn it.

Filoni will likely give us that at some point one of these days.

Long time no post (though I’ve been lurking regularly). Wanted to stop by and plug the Star Wars podcast my buddy and I just started. This was the place I talked Star Wars the most online, so figured I’d drop in and share. If you’re looking for something to listen to while watching Ashoka, feel free to give us a shot (we’re loving Ashoka btw). “Star Wars After Party” on pretty much all the podcatchers. Feedback appreciated, end plug!

I think tonight’s episode will be amazing, but I’m already seeing way too many people hyping it up to be something it probably won’t be. Getting it in your mind that it’s “going to change what we know about Star Wars forever” is just setting yourself up for disappointment

I’m just excited to see Anakin again in a main role. That’s my only expectation.

I’m just expecting it to be similar in vibe to the Rebels episode, The World Between Worlds. Obviously, it’ll be different in what is said and done.

But I would assume we will see different eras of time. Maybe Clone Wars flashback live action? Could be cool. While it’ll likely center around moments in Ahsoka’s and Anakin’s life, we may see others that were important to them.

Filoni has been very on the record that you can’t really change things. Ahsoka was “saved” but had to go back through the same portal. She couldn’t return with Ezra. Ezra couldn’t save Kanan. It would have led to the death of Hera, Sabine, and Ezra himself. It would have led to disaster. I am expecting some great character stuff with these two.

The World Between Worlds is one of my all time favorite Rebels episodes and one of the coolest things the show introduced.

    Let’s go.

So rational expectations then? You don’t expect your life to be completely changed? Seems reasonable.

But yeah I’m so excited for tonight just to have Anakin and Ahsoka interact in live action together. Hearing him call her Snips at the end of the last episode was all I ever wanted anyway.

haha yea, I also don’t think they will retcon the sequel trilogy like I’ve seen other dumb dumbs say online. Bunch of dorks.

Yea, seeing them talk will be cool. Really interested when in his life he is at for this meeting.

I miss Rebels Recon. They should have done an after show for the live action shows. Pablo always had good stuff to say and would have a funny bit.

I can’t believe I’m actually seeing Anakin in his Clone Wars armor in live action. My life is complete

Certainly not the episode the hype was suggesting but still awesome.

So, I am going with that it wasn’t really Anakin. Obviously the episode title kind of indicates that. Which is a little bit of a bummer. It is way easier to explain than somehow having the real Anakin/Vader actually get into the WBW. But I think that is far more intriguing, even if it is messy. Oh, well, this was still cool. Live action Clone Wars and we even got Rex!

Wish The Ghost made the jump to the other galaxy, but probably don’t need everyone to go as far as keeping the story from getting too cluttered there. Really want more adventures with Hera/Chopper/Jacen.

Purrgils, for the win! Let’s go! I’m guessing next week will be primarily focused on the hyperspace ring crew while Ahsoka is traveling. Likely catching up with each other with episode 7.

I’m on the other side from you. I felt like it was actually Anakin. He makes a ROTJ reference to her that only he would know.

idk what people were hyping up but this was one of the best episodes of any of these shows so far, absolutely phenomenal. just seeing Christensen shine with actually good writing and directing for the first time ever is wild

also the score has been gorgeous the whole time but goddamn the music when Hera and Jacen were listening to the waves. Kiner in his fucking bag

That’s true. I caught that as well.

But there just isn’t enough information given to explain that. If it was a manifestation of the force, it would know that line. This shadow warrior, if from the force, could do and say all we saw it do.
