I love the twist of Agatha sticking with him. Man, my heart broke for her Obviously she's fucking evil, but still haha
I doubt it. Where would we even have the opportunity? Nothing in the near future even remotely has to do with this storyline, although I guess we don't know a lot about Wonder Man, but I doubt they'd use that show for this. I'm still sort of unclear as to why she was killing witches. At first I thought she was doing it for something to do with Nicholas, but I guess not? I guess that's just her way?
Fairly underwhelming for me. Having essentially 4 different renditions of the song back to back to back to back really made me want to zone out. I had no real expectations for this show so to be able to say it was overall enjoyable is a win to me.
to piggyback off of this, when she killed Alice, i thought it was implied that she didn't mean to, but i guess that was just for show? is the only explanation that she really just wants power and will do whatever it takes to survive and become more powerful?
I feel like we're missing a piece here, because I actually also felt like she wasn't lying when she said she couldn't control it, but maybe all that means is that she's been doing it so long that it's become muscle memory for her? Like an impulse she can't shake? I do feel like a lot of her hamming it up is more to cover up her true feelings than anything else. That especially felt true after she had that conversation with Death at the start of Episode 8 and Billy and Jen caught up to her and she started going on about how they're almost at the end. So I dunno? It's Agatha all along, but which Agatha is it?
I got the feeling that she was doing what she could to be her strongest for when Rio would return for her son. Unfortunately, he was taken in her sleep and there wasn't anything she could do, no matter how powerful she got. Death was too alluring to Nicholas.
Okay, I read some stuff on Reddit and I think I have a better understanding now. Agatha was killing witches because she was using their death to appease Death and keep her son alive. Her son eventually wanted to stop killing witches, and the lapse is why Death appeared to claim him. And from that point on I think Agatha was just acting out of a place of hurt over her loss, as to why she continued killing witches. And she can't face Nicholas now because she used the song they made together to continue killing witches. Maybe this isn't accurate, but it sounds extremely plausible.
Death does mention that Agatha had promised her bodies, Jen/Lilia/Alice/and name I forget. So while the post losing Nicholas bodies weren’t keeping Death from Nicholas anymore, there still seemed to be some sort of agreement there.
I actually wonder now why Death was there to begin with in the first episode. Was she just visiting Agatha or was Agatha actually in danger of dying because of Wanda's spell?
I do not like this twist at all. one of those twists that just feels like it takes so much away from the story instead of adding to it. I was just getting invested in the Witches Road storyline but none of it mattered I guess
There is a magical connection with The Hood and Mephisto in Ironheart. So there is a very slim chance that something from this could connect to that.
