Because they're cool. I get it, I do, but they're just now getting to the Leader, like 15 years later. So I do believe things will happen when they happen, and there’s no sense stressing about it. Plus, we want less releases per year to allow the people making the films time to breathe, work, and have lives. The cost of that is maybe not seeing She-Hulk or Shang-Chi for a while, until a story comes along that makes sense for them.
I was kind of agreeing with you! Endgame was this massive culmination of everything and this is the first thing that’s felt fresh from Marvel in quite some time. And it’s so much better than trying to create new threats as opposed to just sending a group of characters on a quest with a completely different set of skills than the big Marvel heroes
i enjoy the campiness and i enjoy the performances but the direction and production design has the same sheen as all the disney shows, both mcu and Lucasfilm, have and it just takes me out it's the same with every apple tv+ show looking the same. it just bores me.
My favorite thing is I can now use the “if you want straight answers, ask a straight lady” gif as an excuse until the end of time
The ironic thing about calling this the Multiverse Saga is maybe 2/3rds of the content seemingly has nothing to do with the Multiverse at all.
I don't mind story threads being dropped indefinitely/permanently as long as we keep getting projects centered on queer/poc characters
part of me thinks that just maybe introducing Aubrey Plaza as Literally Death may possibly have some effect on The Story down the line. call me crazy if you must
I think i maybe find it easier than some to not care about the interconnectedness of it all and just enjoy the ride if im enjoying the ride.
As far as connections and where this is going, I’m willing to bet we’re getting some form of Young Avengers: Children’s Crusade coming. Guessing we get an amnesiac Wanda as a post credits to this and we now have our team of Kamala, Kate, Cassie, Billy, and Tommy. Depending on when that comes out we probably won’t see them in Doomsday or Secret Wars, but I definitely see them showing up a later event film as a team sent on a side mission.
I’m also a wicked nerd and super into the cosmic characters so death showing up is interesting to me. Bring me the Living Tribunal and more celestials lol
I just watched all of this up to what's out and what I've got out of it is: Lilia is a Real One and WATCH THE FUCKIN ROAD YOU STUPID ASS PARENTS holy shit that made me so mad like it's cool they're chill with their son but also lowkey fuck them
Does that normally happen? A random episode doing better than the premiere? I feel like it doesn't, which is pretty incredible.
Most shows lose viewers after the premiere so it’s always notable when new shows continue gaining with subsequent episodes.
Yea, just goes to show that the show has held up with word of mouth from people which is a dream for most show creators and networks
I think one of these funniest things about the online engagment with this show is all of the gen z fans that weren't around for the Parks and Rec run are discovering how funny and weird Aubrey Plaza is lol, between her twitter account and some of the interviews she's done in the past
