Against The Current Band

New song released yesterday.

 

Loving this new song. Really anticipating their album next month.

 

The new single doesn’t really stand out for me personally, but I do like some of the other stuff they’ve released recently.

 

First half of the album is a bit of a bore, but the 2nd half, starting with Runaway, picks up for the better.

 

First couple of listens I've really enjoyed it. Pretty catchy stuff.

 

I feel like this is a band I'm just too old to "get"? Like, they're okay I guess but I don't see much special in them.

What's their best song and I'll give it a go?

 

I reaaally like this album.

 

Forget Me Now is a goddamn earworm.

 

Love love love "In Our Bones" and "Wasteland." That one moment in "Roses" is really special, too.

 

This album is going to be my AOTY, no other album can possibly beat this one this year. Sorry, Yellowcard!

Saw this album pop up on Friday on iTunes top20. Saw it was alternative but didn't know who I was. Listened to the first 5 samples and bought it.
Really liked it. Reminded me when i heard PVRIS out of nowhere last year and got the album immediately.

Are they from YouTube. I noticed they have lots of covers with Alex Goot from it

 

They leveraged on YouTube to get exposure, but they've always released their own songs from the start also.

“The Fuss” is a HIT, man

 

I wasn't sold at first, but I like it now! One of the standout tracks.

 

I really like this album the more I listen to it. It leans a little poppy for me in some parts, but I really enjoy it. The production is also spectacular. Wouldn't shock me at all if this band went nuclear in popularity soon.

 

"Sweet Surrender" is also a damn jam. Surprised at how little attention this album is getting. It rules.
