Just getting around to listen to Shape Shift With Me. By far their weirdest album, but I fucking love it.

 

I love it as well. I still find myself returning to it quite often.

was great to see 7 out of 11 of my favorites last night lol.

 

My list would be much different. I do appreciate that she put the newest one so low(even though it's too low) I think most times artists just automatically put their newest record at the top, and a lot of times it isn't deserved. She nailed her #1 pick though!

Against Me! was billed as the headliner for Saturday at Fest 16 but they also played as one of mystery bands on Friday, pretty much kicking off Fest at a decidedly smaller venue than the outdoor plaza they played the next night. I'm still in awe I was able to witness this performance and major props to my friend who recorded it and got it uploaded so soon.

I've been listening to TDB since it came out and it really resonated with me as it came while my friend was struggling w some gender identity stuff. didn't check out any other part of their discography til last night since @Zac Djamoos recommended me white crosses. it was pretty cool, I was surprised at how much cleaner it felt vs TDB but the difference is probably more Stark in my head just bc that's probably a weird progression to listen. will definitely come back to white crosses tho. checked out reinventing axl rose today and was incredibly surprised at the vocal stylings. definitely my least favorite of the three I've listened to, but I'll come back to it since it reminds me of Chamberlain Waits era Menzingers

 

Personally I've always been a huge fan of Searching For A Former Clarity and New Wave if I was looking for their next best albums.

 

cool, I'll check out new wave next. I know that's the divisive one or whatever so I'm interested to see what's what.

 

White Crosses is so good I just got the vinyl repress in last night. Can't wait to listen.

 

Also unrelated but I was in Miami for some parts of last week and the whole time I was there couldn't stop singing "Just like Miami, f***ing Miami" on loop

 

Searching and New Wave are really good, my two favorites along with TDB.

Finally listened to Shape Shift, wasn’t super into it sadly. Probably my least favorite of theirs since the folk punk stuff
