now that would be cool. idk why but i could also see Laura doing a cover of "The Best Ever Death Metal Band In Denton"
Aw yeah, you def make sense. She definitely still makes things relatable in a more broad sense in most of her work and that's awesome.
its very garage rock and i love it. theres some grunge and fuzzier stuff going on and it works well by offering a different musical palette than TDB while still touching on similar themes. I used to not like "Suicide Bomber" but that ones grown on me a lot, those harmonies and that chorus are so odd but so wonderful
White Crosses and New Wave are incredible. New album is good, but I don't like it as much as the previous 3 albums. Not a fan of Provision L-3 or Norse Truth but I do enjoy the rest of it.
I honestly think this is a much better album than people give it credit for. The only songs I dislike are Provision L-3, Suicide Bomber, and All This (And More).
Just listened, great record. Norse Truth is among their best. I'm a big fan of the opener and closer as well
Those are the only songs I like off this one. I listened to The Original Cowboy today, and damn it's good.
Those early AM records haven't aged well with me at all. Eternal Cowboy is pretty good but it's not the AM record I reach for unless I'm just doing a discog binge. Former Clarity onward is my shit though
I'm due for a re-listen, but so far nothing pre-Clarity has clicked with me outside of Disco Before The Breakdown.
