This take got me thinking how dope an MCR x AFI tour would be

I'd take STS as the best single album from either band, but MCR's hit rate is waaaaaaaaaaaay better

It seems like an easy comparison but when you really get into the music the two bands really aren't that similar

Honestly I still need AFI to release a b-side album.

Some of their best songs are b-sides and it’s criminal that some aren’t even on Apple Music.

Huge fan - guys be honest / this is not their best work

I hope you suffer might be one of the best tracks they’ve ever done

    I dig it.

Has anyone caught their short film on here?

“Caught” is now on streaming. Imo this would’ve been the best song on Bodies, absolutely wild that they cut it.

In typical AFI fashion! A lot of their best songs are b-sides haha. I’ve been saying it for years but they really need to release a b-side album.

Agree it's better than anything on Bodies, but I don't think it fits with the rest of the songs.

I feel the need to preface how much I hate writing off anything the band does. I have loved the band since 99, so this isn't some casual listener not being impressed with an album they didn't care about much anyway.

I finally listened to Bodies. That alone says a lot, the lack of interest. Then, I couldn't wait for it to be over. It was just so goddamn boring. The people saying they can't think of a song they'd return to, I'm in the same boat. I found Blood very underwhelming, but at least it had a few memorable tracks for me.

Caught was better than anything on the album, but I wound up turning it off 2/3 in, because I got the point. But it can be added to the list of reasons they're one of the top-tier b-sides bands.

I think Davey had such a good period that was filled with multiple projects of mostly good quality, that he thought he'd have that inspiration and vocal and lyric-writing creativity forever. Kind of like Corgan writing like 300 great songs during the Gish-MCIS era, and then kept the same writing quantity but with a fraction of the quality.

Anyone else considering just sticking Caught on the end of the album and using it as the closer?

Yeah. I like bodies a lot. It’s hitting me even more now this time of year than it did in the summer.

This album and Burials….best work they’ve done since Sing the Sorrow.

    If you don't, don't

If they ever do a b-sides album, it 100% has to include Breathing Towers to Heaven. What a hidden gem that song is

I still think this record is miraculously dull
