Yeah I think it was just used as a framing device to reinforce the whole “cycles” as aspect of the world, and that the adventures in Ooo continue on without Finn and Jake. Don’t expect a spin off.
Finally finished this! I see I didn't love the last episode as much as everyone else, but it was still good. I think I just expected too much. It seemed like every other episode packed so much into just 11 minutes, that with this one being 45 mins I expected more. And I know they wrapped up the Lich a few eps before, but man, I was hoping he'd be involved in the finale somehow. It was nice to see future Sweet Pea still going strong though at the end.
We finally finished this the other night and I was so happy with the ending. I also cried for like 40 minutes after. What a beautiful piece of art.
Because Cartoon Network are seemingly as anti-viewer as possible. I'm just waiting for them to start changing a shows name midway through a season so you can't possibly stay on top of it. It's easy to fall back on "it's a show for kids, they'll tune in regardless" but yeesh, they didn't make keeping up with AT and Regular Show easy.
As long as the same creative crew comes back, I trust it’ll be good. The ending, while really sweet, made it fairly clear theres more adventures to be had.
For fans of AT, Infinity Train just got renewed for S3 on Max. Highly recommend, the first two seasons were incredible.
