Phil Weinrobe’s post about it said: also the press release said it’ll be available on a 7” in the fall. Hopefully we get another bside on there as well If there were 21 songs total, there are 8 left. Oldest, Bright Future, Wanted You to Stay, and Horsepower were definitely recorded, leaving 4 unknowns
Once A Bunch / Who Can Say 7" - Nov 22 This is apparently an indie retail exclusive so I'm not sure if "Who Can Say" will be available digitally. As far as I know, this is not a song that has been performed before and the recording should be from the Bright Future session. Also, Red Hot compilation TRANSA contains a song from Adrianne called "Feel Better" which will be released on the same day. No idea if this one is a studio recording or demo
adrianne song on the new Red Hot compilation, TRANSA also the Once A Bunch 7" is out today including the vinyl-only b-side "Who Can Say". I haven't seen a rip of that surface yet
excited for whatever that is! hope it doesn't take over a year for us to hear it on the final night of the bright future tour, she said she isn't playing another show for 11 months
i don’t know why i ignored this album when it came out. i do that sometimes—ignore albums from artists i otherwise love from no good or particular reason. that being said, i kept thinking about real house and ended up listening to the whole record in the hospital before my son was born. suffice to say it’s going to hold a special place in my heart for a long, long time.
I've really fallen in love with this recently, "Ruined" is such a gorgeous song, leaves me a puddle every time "Once a Bunch" absolutely should've made the tracklist though
I can’t believe they tracked the whole record (1) live, (2) with a bunch of folks who’d never played together before, (3) with no rehearsals, (4) WITHOUT LISTENING TO THE PLAYBACK BEFORE MOVING ON. Absolutely insane. The closest thing we have to Dylanesque songwriting magic in 2025.
only 32 actual songs apparently and a few appear to be only snippets. super excited for this though, the format sounds interesting! also expensive as hell
So expensive. I bought Two Hands on cassette at their show a couple years ago for $5 flat. I know this is a quad tape release but still…..
Her and Big Thief’s endless pursuit of sonic adventure and creativity is why they are one of the greatest of our generation. Very glad to be alive for all of this.
