Okay so I logged on right at 10 and tickets were going really fast, or so it seemed, so I got the best I could and it took forever. But then I checked like an hour later and all the tickets that kept disappearing I couldn’t get were magically available to buy. So I bought a better seat thinking I’ll just sell my original one, but the venue turned off ticket sales for the event on Ticketmaster lol. So if anyone wants a ticket to the Chicago show, which actually isn’t sold out yet, PM me haha. Hopefully someone will take it from StubHub though if no one takes it on here.
I've had decent luck selling through craigslist and then just transferring the tickets on ticketmaster Never been the biggest fan of Sadness but the recording sounds great. So excited that this album has other people playing on it! I thought it was recorded at Phil's studio in January but apparently that was just mixing and it was recorded months earlier, before their Asia/Aus tour So many thoughts! - can't wait to hear Real House and the 3 unknown songs - crossing my fingers that one of the unknowns is "if love is blind" - this Vampire Empire recording was done before it was ever performed live (edit- true for other songs too but this one seems noteworthy) - can't believe the first single was the album closer - the song "bright future" isn't even on here?? Also the Japanese bonus track is "Once A Bunch"
This recording of “Sadness” is so good and it suits her solo style incredibly well. Lined up for an all timer here
Adrianne and Nick Hakim performed at Electric Lady last Wednesday in front of friends and industry people. It was recorded and the video will apparently be released at some point
I wrote about taking Adrianne's songwriting course for Stereogum! super cool opportunity. We Took Adrianne Lenker Of Big Thief's Songwriting Workshop
“Fool” is out. Shocker, it’s great. Love the palette of sounds on this record so far. Feels more ambitious than songs/instrumentals. She’s the one.
She’s expressing that she doesn’t like an image of a man choking a woman being associated with her name or her work, even as a joke. Not sure what’s so funny about that
New magazine cover story - Adrianne Lenker has turned tenderness into an artform There’s another article in Uncut’s April issue but that’s not available freely online
