Hah, me too! That line is full of goodness. The way its positioned kinda makes me think all those bands will be on the same stage.

 

Given how Bamboozle started... I am finding this all incredibly hilarious.

Bamboozle was a fun festival for the era. Curious to see how they can make it work in the current climate. Not expecting much, at this point.

In what way? MCR just did a world tour, played numerous festivals, etc. Don't get me wrong: It would still be a really good get that would sell tickets. But it's hardly a coup at this point.

I think them landing Blink-182 and Paramore is enough to offset whatever benefit MCR might give them, TBH. Blink-182 is the "tickets are expensive, so might as well get a festival pass" band for 2023.

 

MCR played like 5,000 shows in the tri-state area this year

 

I'm just biased on this one. Every blink show I've seen the openers always blew them out of the water. It's hard to justify flying out to see an average blink set. While mcr plays a different set every night. Giving more reason to see them

 

Yeah the only reason why I'm assuming they got MCR is because of the discount price they'd be getting them for lol. They just finished up a world tour where they hit literally every market, some multiple times. Bamboozle is catered primarily to the tri-state area, and MCR just did 5 arena shows here. So while MCR headlining the original scene festival's return is fitting, everyone basically caught MCR this year and wouldnt be scrambling to go just for them. That's my opinion.
Meanwhile with Adjacent, you've got Blink at the very beginning of their reunion tour, as well as Paramore who havent done a full tour since 2018 and have yet to announce their 2023 arena tour. The demand is real for those two.

 

BTW can anyone link these John D rants? Lol I only saw one petty post on the Bamboozle IG but Im assuming he's going off on his personal accounts.

 

Here’s Facebook. Someone also commented whether any bands playing Adjacent would be playing bamboozle and he replied “we passed on most of those bands…as noted we are moving forwards, not backwards”

And that "we have 9 headliners" line made me chuckle. I'd love to know what he considers a headliner.

I would love it if Bamboozle knocks their lineup out of the park. But history tells me that they won't, which will make his condescending posts that much funnier.
After all this is the same guy that booked fucking Bon Jovi, Wiz Khalifa and Motley Crue as headliners for a pop punk festival and was baffled that sales for those years were low.

 

i am sure the bamboozle lineup will be fun and good, but its such a dumb ass look for him to take that near perfect line up and basically say "aw thats all you got????".

Hoping Bamboozle covers more of the legacy pop-punk acts, hip hop and some throwback left field acts. Have a feeling FOB is in for Bamboozle.

Is this lineup split up over two days or is it the same lineup each day? Seems pretty stacked for 1 day, but kinda light for 2 days.

Two days. My gut would be that Saturday is like Paramore, Bleachers, Japanese Breakfast, Beach Bunny, Andrew while Sunday is blink, Turnstile, Coheed, Front Bottoms, Idles, etc.
