Honestly, if Adjacent winds up being a festival that caters to people who went to Warped Tour from like, 1999-2003, but also still books newer/younger acts in those genres... It'll be my favorite. Haha.
Ah good catch. That has me thinking that a lot of these Slam Dunk acts might be at Bamboozle. Specifically Yellowcard, The Academy Is, Hawthorne Heights, Maggie Lindemann and Charlotte Sands.
Fuckkk that sucks didn't realize it was the same weekend. Really wanted LTJ and Fireworks would have been nice
Honestly not a TON on that lineup I'd be sad to miss, but Less Than Jake, Underoath, Fireworks, and The Academy Is would've all been cool. The good news is a lot of those are still in play for Bamboozle.
Yellowcard, BFS, Trophy Eyes, Malevolence and Creeper are the only ones on there I would have been hoping for. The rest I’ve seen numerous times or don’t really care about
I think it’s pretty ouch confirmed that Blink and Paramore are headlining this. I could def see Green Day doing Banboozle
For me that's key and what brought wwwy23 over the top. They're giving me blink and green day (plus all of them). I can't see adjacent or boozle matching wwwy23. ***for my taste obviously
I don’t need this lineup to be as good as WWWY, I just want a good handful of bands I’d like to see + blink and Paramore and I’ll be content lol
For whatever reason I thought the countdown for this was leading up to tomorrow morning I was wrong and now I’m sad lol
Yup, looks like Tuesday morning at 10am EST. I tried to calculate it in my head when the countdown first went up and was off by a whole day lol
I’m feeling extreme FOMO watching IG clips of WWWY today, so I’m really excited for this to get announced.
I can't be alone in thinking this stuff is a waste and would much rather they'd spent that money on a better lineup right? Huge reservations about John D trying to put on this festival, the last Bamboozle in Asbury was a shit show (I understand he's tried to pin that on LiveNation but he was the lead organizer and ultimately falls on him), GameChangerWorld was a mess of a venue when it was around, the revival of Skate and Surf was very hit or miss. He's continually tried to make his shows a brand of their own but I've felt that repeatedly has gone against the reasons why people showed up to his fests in the first place.
Exactly why my expectations are low for Boozle. I'd love to be wrong, though. But in the final years of Bamboozle I was always scratching my head at why they would waste significant amounts of money on things that could've gone towards better lineups. The one left field thing they used to do which I thought was awesome was they'd have bands do cover sets. WWWY was proof that you don't need to reinvent the wheel. And it sounds like that's what they're aiming for with Adjacent too. Whereas Bamboozle I can see them doing something stupid like having Tekashi 69 headline lol (ok not that ridiculous).
Idk I could still see it being a lot of fun. If the rumors are true and mcr are the headliners I'm sure it'll be a success on just there name alone. I noticed bamboozle follows the rolling loud creators and mention asap rocky a lot. So could see him being a headliner. And maybe a midsize emo reunion they keep talking about as a 3rd. So maybe like cobra starship one night only.
