There was a point where I loved the direction of bamboozle. A combo of emo, pop punk, punk, alt, 90s acts, hip hop, pop, indie, and edm. If they deliver on something diverse like that then that's a great way to stand out
Warped Tour on the beach in Atlantic City in 2019 was a blast. Great location and I've been hoping someone would do another festival on the beach there. For that reason alone I'm more interested right now in Adjacent Fest than Bamboozle, but obviously will depend on the lineup. (though I certainly don't love that they scheduled Adjacent Fest for memorial day weekend...)
Yeah, Memorial Day with anything shore-related is just crazy. AC hotel prices will already be insane.
Ionly live an hour from AC so will def do both and probably only get a room for boozle. I think I can make adjacent work as just a day trip both days.
The funny thing with Live Nation booking an AC fest 2 weeks after Bamboozle is that John D basically did the same shit when he left Skate & Surf and started Bamboozle. He booked Convention Hall 2 weeks before Skate & Surf reserved dates for, and then got the jump on booking all the acts. I'll only be able to make one of these work, so I'm anxious to see these lineups come out. I can see Bamboozle doing something cool like getting a Something Corporate reunion, but I can also see them booking totally unappealing headliners. Left field middle tier bookings is entertaining (like Bret Michaels in 2008 or Insane Clown Posse in 2011) but wasting them on headliner spots (ie Bon Jovi and Skrillex in 2012) is such an odd business move.
I've heard Andrew (no SoCo) is playing Adjacent so that would be interesting if he could pull it off.
I already booked a room for 4 days at Caesars for this. blink, Paramore, and Turnstile are enough for me to go. Can’t wait to see the full lineup. Hope we get it fairly soon.
I haven’t looked at any prices but just as an FYI sometimes the Showboat Hotel in AC is cheaper because it’s no longer a casino
make sure you guys make time to walk the board walk while you're in ac. lots and lots of tourist traps.
Depends on the lineup, I suppose. blink and Paramore are a strong start, but WWWY is so stacked. I guess we’ll see!
With the demand for both Blink and Paramore tix and the fact they're both not playing surrounding areas on their tours because of this I would imagine it goes quickly
I'd also be willing to wager that Paramore announces an MSG show in the spring as part of a North American arena tour. I'm also gonna guess that, based off the already confirmed acts being emo/pop punk, the organizer being the same as WWWY, and the lineup getting announced the tuesday after WWWY, that there's gonna be a lot of crossover between the two fests. I'm also gonna put my money on My Chemical Romance headlining Bamboozle, just based on the amount of posts they've made about them recently. 3 guesses in 1 post, lets see if any of these pan out! lol
Im hoping for Jimmy Eat World, Tegan and Sara, Avril, Death Cab for Cutie and Willow. Some other acts I'm hoping for but think are more likely for Bamboozle are The Early November, Midtown, The Academy Is and Armor for Sleep.
I’m hoping for some legacy bands (for me) I’ve somehow never seen before. AFI, Good Charlotte, Jimmy Eat World, Rancid, etc. Avril would definitely be fun
Punk Rock Bowl is the same weekend so might lose some heavy hitters on the punk side, although I don't think this is that demo regardless. Would love to see Bouncing Souls or Menzingers play though
