I think that may have been a strategic move to get people who like the "indie-pop" stuff on day #1 to get a weekend ticket. If you swapped Japanese Breakfast with Jimmy Eat World, and the Front Bottoms for Pup, there isn't a lot of motivation for those folks to go the full weekend.

Kinda like when a festival books 2-3 punk bands and spreads 'em out across the whole weekend rather than lumping them on a single day. It's less glaring in this line-up though, because the crossover between it all is pretty decent regardless of how you dice it up.

You’re definitely right, but my gut tells me them offering single day tickets at all after saying they wouldn’t tells me this wasn’t selling as good as they wanted it to, so it’s possible they’d sell more single day by completely stacking the deck genre wise each day than the 2 days they were hoping for.

Wouldn't even being opposed to leaving the fest early each day and getting a Lyft from the Casino each night back to my hotel, this is kind of perfect.

 

The casino is about 5 steps from the beach so it’s basically the exact same spot haha

I might leave blink a song or two early to get over there to get a decent spot for Senses Fail

 

i’ll probably definitely try to make this happen. adjacent fest just keeps getting more awesome.

Got my ticket to this tonight. Pretty happy it was only $28 + fees.

Also, Adjacent is around $100 below face on StubHub right now.

 

Won’t be picking this over the TEN/SF after shows unless the special guests are somehow a can’t miss

 

Feel like you would have to skip Paramore or blink to get into the after shows.

 

that’s how a lot of afterparties with capacity end up being for sure.

guessing they realized a music fest right next to their hotel and casino is actually a good money maker for them

 

there is no right crowd in atlantic city

 

I’m seeing blink a few weeks before adjacent so I’m planning on ducking out a couple songs early to go catch the after show on sunday night

 

Not a chance I'm leaving blink/paramore early but will definitely be a little bummed if I don't get into the TEN show

 

unless they've changed the layout of the area around, how are they going to close the TEN show? the wild west casino is a completely open space on the casino floor? am i misremembering the area?
