I've seen it referred to as her best album, and sorry y'all, this ain't anywhere near as good as 21.

 

Strangers by Nature gives me very strong Eat, Sleep, Repeat era for Copeland vibes. I dig it. For clarity’s sake, the whole album and the melancholy mood it strikes, not the specific song “ESR”.

Adele would have fit right in to the emo scene circa 2004-2006.

 

idk i think this album is very cool

 

she was very smart to work with inflo

 

not entirely sold on the dialogue parts of this album, kinda wish they were relegated to interludes

 

This is doing mostly nothing for me, which is a bummer.

 

the bonus track "Wild Wild West" is kinda cool. It's another "not what I would expect" kinda song from her, has a really cool percussion track on it, not entirely sure how it didn't make the cut for the main album.

 

Wow that opener was a fucking slog. 0/3 so far

 

Yeah this is a nope for me overall.

 

This grew on me even more on the second listen.
Probably way too soon to compare to the rest of her discography, but my initial impression of this is much better than my initial thoughts of 25.

Here's hoping he gets more work with major stars after these tracks. Have you listened to Cleo Sol's Mother from this year? One of my absolute favorites.

This stood out on my second listen also, deserves to be more than an interlude! The piano and drums interplay is really something

 

Listened to a chunk of Adele’s discography on shuffle on my run today. The new songs definitely work better when not all stacked up right against one another, especially the long piano-driven ballads. It’s too bad, because “To Be Loved” is stunning, but I think its impact is dampened a bit by now this record is sequenced.

 

Not every song on an album needs to be fit for the radio though! Should have kept it at 15 lol
