A little misleading tweet. That 3.3% is solely from the UK. So she sold 16,500 vinyl copies in the UK in opening week. What is the number sold in the US?

 

Final week 1 figure in the U.S. is 839k. Notably, a whopping 692k of that were sales, and 487k were physical sales. It did 109k in vinyl.

Why is this a collective music industry thing? Still four weeks left! I absolutely think she could catch him.

 

I completely believe she can. It just feels so dumb to have a 2021 list without Adele, do they not realize this?

 

It just makes no sense to me that we’d cut off those charts a month before the end of the year. Does December count toward the next year, or no? I said this on Twitter, but it’s like declaring the winner of a marathon 2+ miles from the finish line.

 

evermore being on the list (Dec 2020 release) makes me think that yeah they do, so Adele will be on the 2022 list, but still... so dumb

 

Yeah, it does look like this list is slightly different than the YTD list on Hits Daily Double, so I'm guessing that they include December 2020 in there. But also, like...why? What do people in the music industry have against calendar years?!

Oh snap! My girlfriend got in. I wonder how much these tickets are going to be.

Miami arena tickets were $175 a piece, so I can very much see these at least starting at $250.

 

Wait listed. So 0% chance I’ll be going, lol. I don’t have much faith that will work out. Ah well.

 

Did not get tix. My girlfriend wasn’t comfortable paying more than $500 for a pair. I briefly saw a couple pairs for under $200 each. Everything else was double that at least.

Very funny seeing everyone go through a high demand event like this for the first time.
