Scream Queens, Halloween, True Lies, A Fish Called Wanda Hell, I even liked Christmas with the Kranks.
First movie I think of for Jamie Lee would be Wanda. OK, it would be Halloween, but Id rather say Wanda. I really want to say Trading Places though. I do remember the TV show Anything But Love with Richard Lewis...
With someone like Jamie Lee Curtis, it's hard to pin point which part of my life she has had the biggest effect on. As a child, Freaky Friday and Christmas with the Kranks had consistent viewing for me. Eventually it moved more towards horror with her early 80s work and Scream Queens helped me bond with the queer community. So I guess Halloween '78, but I really loved her on Scream Queens.
Only seen Halloween from her Scream Queen career, but she's truly wonderful at comedy. She should have been nominated for an Oscar for Freaky Friday and for A Fish Called Wanda and she almost steals Trading Places from Eddie at his peak. She also really carries True Lies, which I very much enjoy, ethnocentrism aside. Her role in Knives Out isn't too crucial, but she kills it. She also is part of what makes Christmas with the Kranks a guilty pleasure instead of unwatchable. ...I don't remember her part in Veronica Mars. Little shout out to the bucket of laughs she gets in just a couple episodes on New Girl, too.
