Feel free to talk about your favorite roles of his.

    Just to name a few:
    Malcom X
    Hurricane
    Training Day
    Remember the Titans
    Man on Fire

As always, feel free to suggest other folks we can discuss.

Malcolm X is his premier work, and he’s always engaging in whatever he’s in, but his taste in projects can be varied, to be kind, and he can get too into himself sometimes. He and Tony Scott were an amazing team, love Crimson Tide and Unstoppable, and their Taking of Pelham 123 remake.

Rules in Mo Betta Blues and Training Day, too.

Denzel is not known for always choosing quality work but I don't think I've ever seen him give a performance that was short of outstanding.

American Gangster, Training Day, Fences, John Q, Man on Fire, etc...

Nathan already said it but it's worth saying every time - Malcolm X is his magnum opus. HIs portrayal is stunningly accurate and so compelling.

Eh he can dial it up too much. I definitely wouldn't say bad but if there's a director who can't reign him in a little bit it can distract from the work and come off as overdoing it.

I remember liking that one where he’s investigating a bombing and there’s time travel involved.

I’ve got to revisit Flight sometime soon. He’s had so many great roles, but I especially enjoyed him in that film.

I love how on Twitter this gif has become shorthand for expressing relief at having seen a celebrity’s name trending & assuming that meant they were dead but it turned out to actually be for a different reason.

Out of Time I liked more than its reputation. And Unstoppable is one of the best straight action movies of the last whenever. But even in meh movies, he’s always excellent

I saw Chappelle's Show long before Training Day so that Wayne Brady sketch will always be intertwined with the movie.
