I've barely listened to any BN since 2017, so I never really thought about how the lyrics were already telling us the truth of who he was. When the author quotes the Maradona vs Elvis lyrics I was like wow how did I never pick up on how creepy that song is?

the cynical part of my brain is telling me whoever they’re touring with has something to do with the venue choice and might effect the sales once it’s revealed, without having any information at all on that

just doesn’t seem unlikely, unfortunately. would be great if it was just them fucking around and falling flat

in hindsight there’s so many disgusting lyrics given what we know how. same logic makes me feel ill.

Yeah, the lyrics now are clear as day what sort of guy he was back then.

Most of them are pretty much sold, it's just the bigger venues in B-markets that are kind of confusing. A Salt Lake City arena? A Rochester arena? I don't know what kind of acts usually sell out those buildings, and maybe AEG doesn't have a smaller venue in those cities, but it is kind of a surprising choice.

Ahh yeah, maybe the promoter only has access to certain venues. Definitely odd.

Unfortunately, in today’s landscape - promoters/venues/ticketing agencies would rather book at a larger venue to acquire the most amount of ticket sales vs. booking a smaller venue and having it sell out missing out on additional sales.

The only shows that have sold well are the NY and NJ dates, but look at the resale map for them:
    upload_2025-4-10_11-54-14.png

Resale has been turned off on Ticketmaster for most other dates, but this looks like 50% of tickets sold are trying to be flipped. Reaffirms my prediction that most tickets sold were by scalpers thinking they could cash in on a big payday. This show is in 2 months, expect to see a wave of 20 buck resale tickets the week of.

Had the pleasure of chatting with Lindsey for about an hour and a half prior to her writing some of this article. Grateful for people who are continuing to get eyes on this situation and add their piece.

Worcester is sold out and prices remain quite high resale wise (but there are a lot of them.)

I certainly overestimated demand, probably out of pretty intense cynicism. So, that's, nice I guess? I do think the initial reunion shows were a pretty good indicator - resale prices started through the roof but really cratered the final week. I was keeping a fairly close eye on it all and what started as a $800+ get in turned in to about $100 by week of. I don't know what the face value was on those shows, but probably not too far off.

The Philly venue is a moderate sized one, not an arena. It's just in a field.

    EDIT:
No wait I lied, it's the main Mann stage

Pretty sure when I saw them there last time, they sold it out. So I doubt they'd bother with Skyline stage after that. And looks like they weren't wrong unfortunately.

Pit is still available. Not resale. But lawn does appear to be sold out.

took me a little to earnestly process the last couple weeks in here...

so i met up with one of my best college buddies yesterday for coffee. i casually mentioned how brand new is once again touring. he brought up this show of theirs that we went to together. bn were doing this the cool-at-the-time fight off your demons cryptic website campaign thing. i'm sure some of the "old heads" in here remember this, as well as i guess the band's team (what up, turds?) that are reading these posts.

they were a big band at that point already because of deja, but they did some really small shows because they were firing up the machine before releasing tdag including one at the century lounge in providence. i guess it was post-leak but pre-record roll out. anyways, it was like, a 150 cap venue or something like that, miniscule for the following they had. but we got tickets. it was a great time, and for a long time this was one of my favorite live music memories.

but now, thinking about how we were college freshmen at this show (4/20/2006) and 27 year old jesse was hanging out with high school sophomores is so creepy. reading the driskill allegations didn't really impact me much at all, and reading the words of aiyana's article didn't do it, but seeing those pictures on the tour bus did the trick. what an absolute dirt bag. and knowing that they were on interscope and had a team around them. wow.

as a relatively new girl dad, i can say for sure i won't be letting my kid go to shows without me until she's over the age of eighteen, and chatting with dudes on the internet is off the table. so i guess thanks for that.

y'all can tour, release records, do whatever you want. but you are 100% trash. way to go. way to stain great memories. way to be scum and duck out like chumps. get fucked.
