I looked up that venue’s capacity out of curiosity and was shocked to see it was 20k. (But about 10k of it is the lawn.)

Even at their height, they weren’t doing shows that big here. I saw them at 5k amphitheater in the other “big city” in NC about a decade ago and it was nearly full, but not a sell out. And the venue for the co-headliner with Modest Mouse was only 7k.

To distract people from their predatory allegations, BN is about to drop a documentary going in depth on their 25 year old feud with Taking Back Sunday.

Actually as I jokingly wrote that I think I remembered that their feud was actually over an underage girl.

This made me look at Pittsburgh. It’s basically all GA, so I don’t know how many tickets have sold. But ticket prices have doubled from the presale. Not sure if that means the venue wants to make money on tickets they do sell or tickets are limited and they jacked up the price.

I’m curious at who BN is now working with on the mgmt and PR side now. Because I wonder if someone in their camp “leaked” it as a temp check on interest? And it going up the day tickets go on sale is not a coincidence.

Between this and the ad retargeting it seems like they’re “playing the game” far more than they used to want us to think.

So, looks like lawn is strictly resale $140. The pit has both normal $236 and resale with resale being $5 less. The platinum section in the back dropped from $400-$300, resale at $365.

 

Ticket prices are so fucking crazy in general these days. I think I paid $60 to see them at the same venue in like 2014

 

AE was supposed to be 64.50 for GA Lawn and 94.50 for GA Pit. It's still up on the event page on their website, which they'll scrub if they do jack up the prices. Also the first time I've seen them charge separately for GA Lawn/Pit. They've had seats set up in the pit for The Beach Boys or Culture Club that cost more, but if different prices for the Lawn/Pit becomes the new norm, I'll be very annoyed.
