Brand New fucking sucks. Jesse Lacey fucking sucks. It's shitty music for shitty people. Supporting a groomer is gross. I can't imagine simpibg for the most insanely bland band when their singer is a pdf

 

I’ve softened over the years on people listening to the band. (And I think some detractors are too glib with how they talk about Jesse’s actions.)

But asking in a *Accountability in Music* thread if there’s a place for people excited for the reunion is wild. Like come on, buddy.

I think it's easiest to convince men who participate in this forum to not support Brand New.

Talking to my friends in town, I have been surprised with the number of women and members of the lgbtiq+ community who have been most excited and vocal about going to see Brand New. If they took part in this forum, would they be spoken to the same way as guys on here who show any level of support to Brand New?

I'd have to do some deep browsing on here to see if I can find any past discourse on it, but I would like to know if the conversation is approached differently if it is not with men.
