This is literally exactly what I’m talking about but I’ll leave it at that and move on. Musical quality is irrelevant talking about groomers.

This only confirms that I have a large tent coalition and mandate behind me.

The groomer that everyone is talking about in here.

Personally, I don’t know if any of you all are groomers. Certainly wouldn’t accuse that though. But you said they show up here.

i meant them as a topic not the actual band members.

I’m happy to be far enough removed from the scene that I didn’t even know dates were announced.

Fuck Jesse Lacey and fuck the band.

Used to be way more on top of it. Feel like 12 hours is pretty good in the age of TikTok.

I can safely say that no one I remain friends with listens to Brand New. It’s a pretty good arbiter of someone’s moral compass.

Most of the people I know who listened to Brand New with any regularity still do listen to them as far as I can tell. I had talks with a few of them and discussed how long before we went back to the music and etc. Mostly my wife, one of her best friends, and one of my good friends from HS/early college. Me and her have talked a bunch about it and what it means to us now and the feelings it can bring up and etc.

Everyday this continues I am thankful I only listened to Science Fiction. I am also upset at the people that got me to listen to it because I dug it so much and literally right after it dropped all this stuff came out.

This happened in that Where Is Your Boy Tonight book too. I wanna say it was Bemis and one of the dudes from the All American Rejects that were shit talking the music.

Like dude, you are in AAR...you have no room to talk down about BN musically

I ordered that book recently, was thinking about starting it soon. I liked Sellout so hopefully this one is entertaining too

it’s so good. I liked it better than sellout honestly. Just because the bands covered I liked more. Both written incredibly

i tore a hole in the fabric of time Moderator

Where Is Your Boy Tonight had a really weird cognitive dissonance for me at times when I read it last year because it was clearly written post-Brand New and pre-Saves the Day, because the praise of STD rung really hollow on this side of it with all the rightful criticism of Brand New alongside it. Otherwise, I also thought it was a fantastic book.
