If anything I listen to an artist more after a show for the next couple days. I’m just coming off that high man

When I go to a show I listen to all of the artist’s rivals and shake my head at all the songs so that the artist I’m seeing knows I’m on their side

What about when people buy merch of the band they’re seeing that night at that band’s show

hold it, wear it, or buy it at the end. you know what’s weird, when bands sell posters at the gig without a tube.

speaking of merch, there must be a better way for the bands. with merch cuts, i would hypothesize that it would make more sense for them to just sell the merch online and give a coupon if you attended the gig to avoid merch cuts. that shit is straight up predatory by the venue.

but i know there’s the like impulse buy aspect.

i’m all for wearing the merch you get at the gig.

I never understood people who bought merch at the show and then wear it immediately. Did you change in the bathroom? Are you wearing the shirt over your other shirt? Did you plan this from the beginning? Either way you’re a fucking nerd

I have put a band tee on over the shirt I came in many times at shows mostly so I don’t have to hold anything. Please let me know what I owe for my scene fine and I will get a check in the mail to the committee.

    Ugh, I hate America. Supporter

BoysNightOut is the first band I’ve seen do a pre order for tour merch and you can just show the receipt and pick it up at the tour stop in your city. Amazing idea.

they also put out a Spotify link of their setlist so you can know what they are playing and sign along.

IMO both great ideas that I wish more bands would do.

It doesn’t bother me. I just think they’re all nerds. Let’s buy a $45 T-shirt and immediately put it on over the shirt I wore to the concert.

We already know you’re here for the band. You don’t have to be a walking advertisement. I give props when people are wearing cool band T-shirts from other bands that aren’t playing that night. I give respect when respect is due.
