People in this thread love to say that “Brand New aren’t as good of a band as Reel Big Fish.” And I 100% agree with them.

 

This is an amazing sentence btw. I just need to point it out that it really sets up the testimony of the rest of the post, so I know they're experts first and foremost.

Yea, I was gonna say, didn’t MBB herself talk about him texting her when she was underage? I don’t care about Drake, so I may be off somewhat. But something like that sticks out and thus makes allegations like this stick.

I certainly don't believe anyone in this thread would say stuff like that, but I'm talking about the attitudes that I've encountered from talking to people in the real world, who don't use internet forums or pay attention to 'accountability in music'. Because it certainly is a factor.

 

I would still say nobody wants someone to be a pedophile. That does not cause happiness.

 

Yeah since that means there would be victims. Not really for that.

 

To be fair, I think their point is more that people he spoke with wanted either an excuse or justification for hating Drake who already didn’t like him. Which could be true. But maybe don’t ever phrase a statement that combines happiness with pedophilia.

 

Like, I am not happy with how Trump acts despite him giving me a reason everyday to hate him. I’m not happy immigrants here legally are being deported. I am not happy about raging about that.
