Totally agree on both counts, and can’t help but notice that the same logic doesn’t apply to the many, many men who’ve been labelled abusers in this very thread for cheating

Edit: Did a search and while there have been conversations about this in the past, it looks like that's regarding serial cheaters, not cheating in general.

Were those men being called out for something in addition to cheating? Were they serial cheaters, emotional abusers? Did they groom someone? What examples are you citing, and from how long ago?

All this to say, these conversations evolve over time (as they should) and context matters. I can already see where you're coming from and I can tell you it's not a gendered thing, because A LOT of people are not happy about Phoebe's lack of action or comment regarding the Marshall Vore allegations. Similarly, if Phoebe habitually cheated on her partners and they spoke up about how they were treated, I'm pretty sure folks in here would not be so quick to give her a pass on that behavior. But until we have information like that to consider, I'm not going to waste my time trying to evaluate the personal relationships of someone I will probably never meet or associate with.
