Looks like it stemmed from an article he shared on Twitter about leftists not being damning enough about Hamas. Folks on Twitter and Reddit reacted to it at the time, so you can find some responses, but it appears he deleted the tweet.

I don't know if that makes him a Zionist, but it's definitely not good. Was just another example of an artist I enjoy that I didn't realize was jumping to Israel's defense.

 

Yeah, this was a quote tweet with the article he shared but that quote tweet was deleted.
