The last news story I saw of Ozzy was like a week ago where he said he wouldn’t cancel his show in Israel and brushed off Palestinian rights protests. So good on him for not supporting actual antisemitism but also fuck him for not actually caring about genocide

 

I tried searching for this but could only find an article talking about Ozzfest, which hasn't been a thing for years. Does Ozzy even have any shows right now with his health?

Looks like what I saw was taking his quotes from 2019, which still sucks but obviously would be way worse now. Gotta be more careful about what’s linked in Facebook posts! When I googled I could only find shitty things his wife said recently about standing with Israel which is much less surprising.

So I don't know much about Freddy's powers or the franchise that much but the whole thing is if you die in the dream you die in real life, right?

 

Which of course was expanded into the magnum opus that is 2006's Stay Alive, when you die in the video game you die for real.

 

So if Freddy like...makes you win the lottery or something in the dream, do you win in real life?

 

Imagine you are in people’s dreams turning them into reality and then they make a movie about you and it exclusively focuses on your small percentage of dream murders.

Isn’t heavily implied or outright said that Freddy was a pedophile in “real life” and burned to death in a fire after a bunch of parents found out and tracked him down? (Or something like that)

or maybe that was just in the horrible remake?

 

By the way I have absolutely no fucking idea what is happening in this thread or how Freddy Krueger got brought up lol

 

Did some quick Googling and apparently in the original film Freddy was just a child killer, but the remake went the pedo route because Craven always intended it to be that way.

Other than that, the origins are more or less the same.

I kind of wish the remake stuck with the idea of Freddy being wrongfully accused. That would have been way more interesting.
